Only a few days till my surgery!

 Hi Dennie!!!

It's actually kind of funny.  Before the liquid diet, I had quite the iron stomach.  Like people would be eating something and proclaiming how rich it was.  Oh, I can barely eat any more!  Huh?  I have yet to encounter something too rich.

I'm kind of thinking of this diet a****ting my reset button as I approach surgery.  I get a do-over.  I can learn to listen to my body (and band) again, instead of being used to overriding hunger vs. satisfied signals from my body that I learned from the clean your plate club.

Yeah, I'm dorky, but this is all kinda cool!

Hugs!!

I am sooooo looking forward to getting out in this glorious spring and taking some fun walks!  I can't wait!

I am feeling well in spite of not having eaten in a week (and being a goof, forgetting to drink 6 shakes and only having 3 yesterday) and after my lawn mowing nightmare.  I'm kinda looking forward to the lortab post op to relieve the aches and pains from that!

Usually it takes 20 minutes to mow the grass, but because the stinking grass never got dry (even though I waited til 5 to cut it!), it kept clogging the mower.  An hour and a half.  GRR!  Mow 2 steps.  Mower clogs.  Mower stalls.  Denise swears.  Flip over mower, unclog.  Start mower. Lather, rinse, repeat.  Insert extra swearing as needed.

I'm surprised I don't have body builder arms on my right side this morning!  I literally started that thing about 100 times in my tiny yard.  I'm pretty sure I made up some brand new curses yesterday.  Too bad I'm too tired to remember any of 'em.

I'm also surprised at how well I'm following the rules, truth be told, Micheala!  I couldn't do this if I just decided to go on a fast or short term liquid diet on my own.  But because I had official orders to do so in order to get my surgery, I'm good.  Weird, huh?   So I am quite enthusiastic about my future good behavior after surgery, since I was so good before hand.  I know I won't be perfect, but I'll do well.  I'm quite sure of that.

And with all the amazing people and support here, I know I'll succeed!

I'll teach my mom to use my cell phone and how to get in touch with you (odds are I'll yank it from her, "Oh just let me do it!" and you'll get a drunken call from me in recovery! tee hee!) and we'll keep ya in the loop.

XOXOXOXOXOXO!
Denise
